Jim O’Briant is a multidisciplinary designer and creative director specializing in craft, visual systems, and storytelling. Starting his career in graphic design, he’s spent the last decade expanding into concept development, campaign thinking, and creative leadership while maintaining a strong foundation in hands-on design.

With deep roots in Detroit automotive advertising, Jim has developed work for brands including GM, Chevrolet, Mazda, Netflix, Owens Corning and Amazon. Today, he works remotely from Charlotte as an Associate Creative Director at Lafayette American, collaborating across brand, campaign, and content initiatives for a range of national clients.
